Adam began his career with Oakwood homes in 2006 and throughout his time with the company has successfully developed his skills within the industry. Originally starting out in our Birchington office he has efficiently progressed from trainee negotiator through to Office Manager of our Margate branch. Outside of work he is a keen member of a local Badminton club although at present most of his time is taken up completing the final stages of a total refurbishment of his own home. Alex has joined us having had experience in a Charity organisation and is now putting his people skills to very good use in the lettings business. Dealing with all tenants, Alex is probably one of the first of our team members you will meet when starting your new home search with Oakwood homes - a firm favourite with our clients and always one to get great reviews from this dealings with them. Outside of work you might find him following a 'certain football team' around the country...!

Sales Progressor

Amie has many years experience with this important side of the business, in competently helping clients get their sale swiftly to completion, which will be reassuring for all our buyers and sellers! Working closely with solicitors, lenders and of course our own clients, Amie's role is soon evidently valuable, as the challenges often faced during the transaction become apparent. Outside of work Amie is busy spending time looking after her young family.

Lettings Progressor

Estate agency is a new venture for Amy who has a background in professional catering for which she studied at East Kent College. In her spare time she creates bespoke birthday and wedding cakes for friends and family and has recently started her own blog. Keeping fit and healthy has always been important to Amy so she goes to the gym frequently, and enjoys swimming and taking part in badminton. She loves being out in the sun and whenever possible she’ll be down the beach jet skiing with the family.

Brooke has been working in the Financial Services Industry since 2000, the majority of which has been with Mortgage Advice Bureau. Brooke has an excellent working relationship within the FS team, achieving great job satisfaction from assisting clients in their mortgage journey enabling them to move into their new home. Outside of work Brooke enjoys spending time with her family and friends and also likes to bake having recently completed courses working with sugar paste and celebration cakes. Like most ladies she also likes to shop and enjoys family holidays abroad.

One of the newest members to our Oakwood team, Claire is already a valued member of the accounts department with particular responsibility for managing the day to day finances of lettings. With over 17 years experience of working in accounts, Claire has a great knowledge of both the sales and purchase ledgers - so your rent will be in safe hands! Claire is very much looking forward to continuing her journey within the company and expanding her financial knowledge on the way. Diane has worked within administration in Estate Agency for over 20 years and has been PA to Oakwood’s Managing Director since we opened for business in January 2005 as well as looking after the administration for the branch network. She has a keen eye for detail and accuracy working hard to ensure your property is presented to the market in the very best way possible. Diane has three daughters, five grandchildren and is a keen motorcyclist enjoying European travel.

Energy Assessor

Julian is our Energy Assessor and is responsible for the completion of our EPC's (Energy Performance Certificates) and floor plans as well as some great photography. He is also fully qualified to complete surveys for Legionella risk assessment which is now recommendation for rental property following legislation change in 2015. When not working, Julian enjoys spending time with his family and looking after their three grandchildren - as well as watching F1 and Arsenal FC (go Arsenal!).

Lettings Manager

Kate has been in the Lettings business since 2012 after a background working in the insurance sector. She is now Senior Lettings Consultant and loves the variety of work and the interaction with lots of people in her role. At home Kate is very happy living with her husband, son and 2 dogs. She enjoys going for long walks with her dogs and taking her son to the park or the beach on lovely summer days.

Kathy has been working in the property industry in Ramsgate for the last 11 years and has extensive knowledge of both the town and local area, having sold many properties to London buyers and local residents alike.

Prestige & Country Homes Director

Steve has worked in the estate agency business for more than 30 years and was a founding Director with Oakwood homes in 2005. In his time in the industry, Steve has worked in a variety of markets across Kent dealing with all styles of property from country homes to seafront apartments. He has worked in Birchington since 2003 and therefore knows the area exceptionally well, ensuring clients will receive balanced and accurate advice. Steve is also responsible for running our Prestige & Country homes division, working with clients across East Kent.

Outside of work Steve has a strong interest in Education having served as Chair of Governors for nearly 20 years. In his spare time he is a keen, though not very accomplished, golfer!

Teresa has been in the business since 1986 and worked as an Estate Agent from the west coast of Scotland to the South East coast of England - booms to recessions and back again! Teresa founded our Lettings Division in 2008 and there hasn’t been a dull day since. She is passionate about her work and a stickler for sourcing the right tenant for the right Landlord to avoid potential future issues or void periods. Teresa is also of course married to the boss! Outside of work Teresa can be found walking her dog, enjoying good wine and food or watching sport, (not necessarily in that order…!)
