‘UK Best Estate Agency of the year 2005’
In their FIRST YEAR of trading, Oakwood homes have been nationally
recognised for their outstanding achievements in the business
and awarded silver for ‘UK Best Small Estate Agency
of the year 2005’
More than double the numbers of Agents were assessed in comparison to 2004
from all across the country for the coveted award, and Oakwood homes were
acclaimed by the Panel of Judges for ‘… an Estate Agent
moving in the right direction on every front.’
Commenting on their success, Andrew Dickinson
of Oakwood homes said:

The awards were sponsored by ‘Rightmove’ the UK’s largest
property web-site and the presentation ceremony was hosted by Fiona Bruce
from the BBC in November 2005 at The Brewery in London.

Oakwood's new 'plaice'
Oakwood homes have added a fourth branch to their already successful group
in East Kent! On Saturday 21st January 2006, Oakwood homes saw the opening
of their fourth branch in Birchington, formally well known as the local fishmongers!
In line with their now expected quality service and pleasant surroundings,
the new offices in Station Road have been extensively refurbished. Oakwood
homes would like to thank the Hewitt family for their kind consideration
during the last few months. We would also like to reassure the local community
that there will be no ‘fishy business’ in our new branch!
In less than 50 weeks, Oakwood homes took the market by storm in 2005 and
sold more than £50m worth of property – a staggering result in
what was nationally acclaimed as the most difficult year for property sales
since the recession.
Commenting on their success, Andrew Dickinson of Oakwood homes said “We are absolutely delighted with the response we have received since our launch just 12 months ago. The public have recognised that our staff are all very experienced and not only give quality customer service, but are able to achieve incredible results. The team at Birchington is headed by Associate Director Steve
Evans who has more than 18 years industry experience and returns to Birchington
as a firm favourite with the local public.
Steve is joined by Stephanie Plowman as Office Manager who also offers more than 10 years experience in the business which includes all ranges of property sales as well as Land & New Homes.
Adam Spickett is a newcomer to both Oakwood homes and the business, but lives locally in Thanet and is a name and face well known in the community. Adam has also been involved in the refurbishment of all four branches.
Sharon Newman who also lives locally brings excellent administrative
support as well as an extensive range of experience in the conveyancing
world.
