The event is being held in an attempt to beat the current Guinness World Record for a cricket marathon and our aim is to play non stop for 35 hours, with the same 22 players participating. This attempt is being held for the benifit of The Pilgrims Hospices in East Kent and our hope is to raise in excess of £10,000.
The current official record is 33.5 hours held by Citipoint in Australia all though this has recently been beaten by Red Row Sports Club in Northumberland who played for 34 hours.
There will be an official event programme on sale shortly with full details of the event. Each programme will have a lucky number and will be entered into a prize draw with a piece of signed sporting memorabilia up for grabs. There will be additional items also available either by auction or prize draw. Watch this space for details.
Memebers of the public will be welcome throughout the attempt with your support being crucial to our success. We very much look forward to seeing you there!
